Once in a while I run across a graphic online that I can’t resist developing. The included graphic is just such a case.
The original of this graphic was a Gif. It’s dithered bitmap all but obscured subtle lines and shades that deliniate the human form. (Or, non-human in this case). Auto trace does not produce acceptable rendering. Particularly when tracing a bitmapped or pict graphic. The effect of brush or pen & ink illustration requires carefully drawn object shapes - not stroked lines. It took about four hours to carefully place each vector point by hand. It may look loose - but that’s the intention. The color version is even more striking.
